Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To eliminate improper suffix processing to improve the efficiency of KANA(Japanese syllabary)-KANJI(Chinese character) conversion by classifying suffixes in accordance with semantic attribute classifications of nouns and prescribing semantic connection relations between nouns and suffixes. CONSTITUTION:A HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) character string is inputted by an input part 1 and is converted to a sentence including KANJI and KANA by a converting part 3, a dictionary 4, and a suffix table 5. When the character string is proved by analysis that it consists of proper nouns and suffixed which are obtained by retrieving the dictionary 4 by the converting part 3 the converting part 3 retrieves the suffix table 5. Suffixes are classified in accordance with semantic attributes of nouns with respect to meaning. Thus, improper suffix processing is eliminated to obtain correct results.
