COMPOSITION FOR ORAL CAVITY

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for oral cavity useful as tooth paste, etc., and preventive of lowering in bactericidal action by blending triclosane and surfactant jointly used with a water-soluble calcium salt having specific solubility. CONSTITUTION:A system containing triclosane and surfactant (e.g. lauryl sulfuric acid sodium salt, N-lauroylsarcosinuric acid sodium salt, saccharide fatty acid ester, etc.) is blended with water soluble calcium salt having >=3wt.% solubility to water at 20 deg.C. The blended amount of triclosane is normally 0.001-1%, preferably 0.01-0.5% based on the composition for oral cavity. The blended amount of surfactant is normally 0.01-5%, preferably 0.05-3% based on the composition.
