ABBREVIATED DIAL CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To enable every telephone set to place a call by using a registered abbreviated dial by providing a data base which stores the abbreviated dial in unit of telephone set connected to an exchange. CONSTITUTION:At least one data base DB which stores the abbreviated dial in unit of telephone set connected to the exchange is provided at an exchange network consisting of plural exchanges A, B, C. When an access request from the telephone set connected to the plural exchanges A, B, C to the data base DB is issued, the exchange makes access the data base DB, and reads out a telephone number corresponding to the abbreviated dial requested from the telephone set. And the exchange performs an exchange operation setting a read out telephone number as an incoming number. In other words, the data base for abbreviated dial service is provided in the exchange network to which the exchange is connected, not providing abbreviated service in unit of exchange, and the access to the data base is performed when the request of the abbreviated dial is issued. In such a way, out going to the registered abbreviated dial can be performed from any telephone set.
