APPARATUS FOR TRANSPLANTATION OF HYBRID SEEDLING

PURPOSE:To improve the pollination ratio in crossing by setting the distance of transplantation devices in such a manner as to set the distance between the rows or stalks of paternal seedling to be narrower than that of maternal seedlings. CONSTITUTION:Paternal seedlings A of fertility restoration variety are planted in two rows at the center and maternal seedlings B of male sterility variety are planted to the left and right sides in two rows each. The seedling feeding speed and the distance between seedling transplantation devices are set in such a manner as to set the planting distance of the paternal seedlings to be narrower than that of the maternal seedlings. The row of the paternal seedling A can be made close to that of the maternal seedling B by this process to improve the pollination ratio in crossing. Furthermore, the number of paternal seedlings in a row can be increased to enable the supply of sufficient amount of pollens to the maternal seedling B.
