Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To attain highly precise injection control by fitting a valve assembly for returning fuel pressure waves reflecting from an injection nozzle to fuel source side at the end part on fuel distribution side of a rotor rotated synchronously with an engine where fuel from a high-pressure pump should be distributed to the injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION: This fuel injection pump 10 supplies the fuel delivered from a transfer pump 22 driven by an engine to a charging passage 38 through an annular head passage 40 or the like, and supplies the fuel to the pump room 56 of a cam-operated high-pressure pump 58 when a delivery port 44 communicating with the passage 38 matches the inlet passage 38 of a rotor 50 interlocking with engine rotation. The fuel whose pressure is increased in the pump room 56 is supplied to the injection nozzle 18 through a fuel supply passage 90, a line 17 and so on. A valve element 66, which is positioned at the position where a section between the passages 62, 90 is shut off by a spring when no fuel pulses are received from the inlet passage 62, is formed at the end part of the rotor 50, and a delivery valve assembly 60 is formed which returns fuel pressure on the passage 90 side to the fuel source side from the passage 100. |
