METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TESTING TURBO-CHARGER WITH VARIABLE VANE

PURPOSE:To decide whether the operation of a variable vane is proper or not at the time of assembling by artificially bringing about the actual operation state of a turbocharger to test the switching state of the variable vane. CONSTITUTION:Receiving bases 14, 16, and 18 are provided on a base 12 of a test equipment 10, and a turbine part 100 of a turbocharger 110 with a variable vane is placed there and is held and fixed by a fixing part 28. A pressing part 34 is controlled to press and turn the variable vane 120, and the extent of displacement of the variable vane 120 is measured by a measuring part 36. By this equipment 10, the turning force equal to the pressure with which the exhaust gas of an engine presses the variable vane 120 is applied to the variable vane 120 to bring about the operation state of the turbocharger 110 from idling to acceleration, and the extent of displacement of the variable vane 120 is measured to decide whether the operation is proper or not. Thus, it is discriminated whether the operation of the driving part which operates the variable vane 120 through a link mechanism is proper or not.
