USE OF 3-HYDROXYBENZO THIOPHENE IN MEDICINE AND VETERINARY DRUG FOR INVIVO PARASITE EXTERMINATION

The present invention relates to the use of 3-hydroxybenzo- thiophenes of the formula I in which R stands for one or more identical or different radicals hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, haloalkylthio, alkylenedioxy, haloalkylenedioxy, halogen, CN, NO2, NH2, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkylcarbonyl, carbalkoxy, alkylsulphonyl, arylsulphonyl, sulphamoyl, alkylsulphamoyl, dialkylsulphamoyl, aryl, aryloxy or arylthio, which can in turn be substituted, R stands for optionally substituted alkoxy, cycloalkoxy or the -NR R radical, X stands for CH or N, R stands for hydrogen or alkyl, R stands for carbocyclic or heterocyclic aromatic radicals, for combating endoparasites in medicine and veterinary medicine, new compounds of the formula I and a process for their preparation.
