Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To perform efficiently metallic decoration, by a method wherein a resin film is formed on the surface of a satd. polyester bottle, the surface is printed, and a hot stamping foil is laminated onto the surface before the ink dries hard to transfer a metal deposition layer on said surface. CONSTITUTION:A coating agent composed of a soln. of a polymer such as an ethylene-vinyl acetate resin or a urea resin, is coated on the outer surface of the shoulder 5 of a biaxially oriented satd. polyester bottle 1 composed of a body 3, a bottom 2 and a neck 4, to form a primer layer 6 of 0.1-5mu in thickness. A soln. of a rigid film-forming resin (e.g. an unsaturated polyester) contg. a photosensitizer such as benzoin, is coated on said layer 6. Then the coated surface is irradiated with ultraviolet light to form a rigid resin film layer 7. Patterns or letters are printed on the layer 7 with printing ink M by screen printing. Before the ink dries completely hard, a hot stamping foil 8 is laminated onto the layer 7, and hot-pressed to transfer the metal deposition layer of said foil 8.
