ULTRASONIC PROBE HEAD DEVICE

PURPOSE:To highly efficiently execute copy scanning by means of simple structure even when a face to be detected is a free curve by providing the ultrasonic probe head device with a case having an aperture, plural base points and a liquid medium discharging means and holding the inside of the case at negative pressure against the external. CONSTITUTION:The head device is constituted of the case 2, plural base points 5 and a pump 13. When a power supply for the pump is turned on after setting up a prescribed differential pressure on a controller 15, the pump 13 is controlled at its drive so as to hold the differential pressure at a set value. Water W in the lower part 2b of the case 2 is sucked from a suction part 7 to the pump 13 through a hose 8 and the inside of the lower part 2b goes negative pressure against the outside of the case 2, the external water W flows from a gap between the lower end of a skirt part 6 and the surface 1a of a target to be inspected into the lower part 2b, the case 2 is pressed to the surface 1a, and respective base points 5 are pressed and contacted to/with the surface 1a. Under the above status, an ultrasonic probe 3 is set up to prescribed distance and posture for the surface 1a corresponding to the aperture area of the lower part of the case 2 and inspection based upon ultrasonic beams radiated from the probe 3 can be executed.
