HERBICIDE BASED ON SULFONATED AMINO- GUANIDINE

PURPOSE: To obtain a herbicide consisting of a specific sulfonylated aminoguanidine as an active ingredient, and used as a defoliant for the selective eradication of weeds belonging to Dicotyledons and the eradication of braodleaf plants in a crop belonging to Monocotyledons, a drying agent and especially as a weed annihilating agent. CONSTITUTION: This sulfonylated guanidine-based herbicide contains a compound of the formula [R is an aryl, an aralkyl or a heteroaryl; R is H, a halogen, OH, NH2 , an alkyl, an alkoxy, an alkylthio, etc.; X is N or CH; Y is N or CR (R is H, a halogen, CN, an alkyl, etc.); Z is N or CR (R is H, a halogen, OH, NH2 , an alkoxy, an alkylthio, etc.)], e.g. N'-(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl- amino)-N"-(2-methoxycarbonyl-thien-3-yl-sulfonyl)-guanidine, as an active ingredient. The using amount of the compound is in 0.01-10kg, preferably 0.05-5kg range per 1ha soil area.
