Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To impart the outstanding mechanical properties and the high residual tensile strength in the case of marring by interlocking a thermoset resin in a bulky three-dimensional structure of reinforcing fiber of a knitted cloth or a looped cloth with a specific hollow space content in terms of specific volume%. CONSTITUTION: The lightweight composite material containing a reinforcing fiber in a thermoset matrix is obtained by interlocking a thermoset resin in a bulky three-dimensional structure of reinforcing fiber, whose form length is 50 mm or more, of a knitted cloth or a looped cloth having at least, 50 volume% of hollow space content so that the lightweight composite material includes a hollow space. In addition, the lightweight composite material is obtained by a method to impregnate the bulky knitted cloth or the looped cloth of the reinforcing fiber having a length of 50 mm or more and at least, 50 volume% of the hollow space content, with the starting material of the thermoset resin and remove the resin starting material which does not stick to the reinforcing fiber and further, set the structure. |
