Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst performing removal of NOx even at a high temp. by incorporating Cu and Y ions into zeolite having a certain molar ratio of SiO2 to Al2O3. CONSTITUTION:Cu and Y ions are incorporated into zeolite having >=20 molar ratio of SiO2 to Al2O3, e.g. ZSM-5 by ion exchange or other method. When the resulting catalyst is used, NOx in waste combustion gas from an industrial plant, an automobile, etc., is efficiently removed even at a high temp. without using ammonia as a reducing agent and high activity of the catalyst is maintained even in coexistence with SOx and O2.
