Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To extremely readily prepare a substituted nitroguanidine useful as an insecticide by subjecting a substituted 2-niroamino-1,3,5-hexahydrotriazine compound to a ring-opening reaction using an acid. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I is subjected to a ring-opening reaction in the presence of an usually excessive amount, preferably 1.5-10 times moles, of an inorganic acid such as hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid or an organic acid such as acetic acid or toluene sulfonic acid in a solvent, e.g. water, acetic acid, an alcohol such as methanol or ethanol, a chlorinated hydrocarbon such as dichloromethane or dichloroethylene or a ketone such as acetone or methylethyl ketone at 20 deg.C- the boiling point of the solvent, preferably 40-110 deg.C, to readily prepare the compound of formula II in a good yield.
