TWO-WAY CATV DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent noise coming from a subscriber terminal from being concurrent into an incoming line by providing a branch circuit with a switching circuit provided with a switching circuit for an incoming line controlled from a contracted subscriber terminal equipment on the transmission line and connecting the incoming line only when an incoming signal is sent. CONSTITUTION:A branch circuit with a switching circuit is inserted to a subscriber terminal equipment or a line reaching a set of plural subscriber terminal equipments in the CATV device in which data and video image are sent in two way between a transmission station and the plural terminal equipments. The branch circuit with a switching circuit consists of an incoming signal circuit 21 passing only an incoming signal B and an outgoing signal circuit 21 passing only an outgoing signal A, the incoming signal circuit 21 is provided with a switching circuit 22, which is switched for the connection to the line by using a control signal D from a subscriber terminal equipment to connect the incoming line to the line only when the incoming line is required. Thus, there is no case that many home use terminal equipments HTU are always connected to the line.
