SUBSCRIBER LINE EXCHANGE

PURPOSE:To eliminate troublesome re-calling when encountering with the busy incoming side terminal, by providing with a storage function to store the registration of store communication service connected by bypassing via a store and forward processor connected to an area relay exchange, and a bypass connection function connected by bypassing via the store and forward processor. CONSTITUTION:When information that a facsimile terminal 7a is at a busy state is received from a subscriber exchange 7b, a subscriber line exchange 1b performs connection to the area relay exchange 8a via an output trunk 5a and an input trunk 8b when a store communication service contract is registered. When the preparation of the store and forward processor 9a is completed, a picture signal is transferred from a facsimile terminal 1a to the store and forward processor 9a via the area relay exchange 8a. The store and forward processor 9a tries to perform the connection to the facsimile terminal 7a at a constant time interval, and transfers the stores picture signal received from the facsimile terminal 1a to the facsimile terminal 7a when the connection is attained. In such a way, the troublesome re-calling can be eliminated.
