Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent engine stall by allowing a control means to change the clutch engagement pattern and the engine rotation rising pattern when the car is started at an angle over the set value upon sensing the steering angle, and enlarging the starting torque. CONSTITUTION:Start of the car is sensed by a start sensing means 31, the steering angle at starting is sensed by a steering angle sensing means 32, and the result from sensing is fed to a load judging means 33. When the angle sensed by this steering angle sensing means 32 is over the specified value, the judging means 33 judges that it is loaded starting. If so, a relevant signal is given to an engine control means 35 and a clutch control means 36 for changing the clutch engagement pattern and the rise of engine rotation to permit enlargement of the starting torque. Thus engine stall is prevented even in the condition the steering angle is large.
