Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To maintain a printing quality and improve paper discharge properties in a high speed offset press by a method wherein a surface rubber layer is made of an oil-resistant rubber, and oil-resistant fine particles of a specific diameter exist in a specific ratio in an insular form in the sea of the oil-resistant rubber. CONSTITUTION:A surface rubber layer 4 is formed by containing oil-resistant fine particles 6 in an oil-resistant rubber, such as a modelate high nitrile rubber 5. As the oil-resistant fine particles 6, fine particles having a oil resistance higher than that of the modelate high nitrile rubber 5 forming the sea; for example, particles of fluorocarbon resin and/or elastomer, or polyamide resin and/or elastomer are used. The ratio of the contained particles is determined to be within the range which is too low to deteriorate the ink resistance, ink acceptability, water acceptability, and ink transfer properties of the surface rubber layer. The particles are contained in a ratio of 5-50% by volume to the modelate high nitrile rubber 5. In addition, the diameter of the oil-resistant fine particle 6 is 3-100mum. On the surface, the oil-resistant fine particles exist in an insular form in the sea of the modelate high nitrile rubber 5.
