ELECTRONIC SCALE

PURPOSE:To prevent a weight display from flickering by holding the contents of a weight memory up to last weight when variance in counted data is decreased less than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The output of a load cell 4 is read in a CPU 1 at a constant period through an amplifier 5 and an A/D converter 6 and processed. Variance among last three successive read data is found and when the variance is larger than a specific value, it is considered that the output is not stable; while no display data are rewritten, new read data is read in and past data are shifted by one. When the variable is less than the specific value, it is considered that the output is stable and the number of the same data with the latest three data among eight past data is found, so that when >=5 the same data are found, the value is displayed. When not, a difference from a last display value is affected by vibration when small, and no display data are updated.
