HEAT EXCHANGER TUBE HAVING CORROSION-RESISTING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To reduce the speed of corrosion of a heat exchanger tube and to prolong the useful life of the heat exchanger tube by a method wherein a water drip plate for preventing drip of corrosive dew water condensed on the surface of the heat exchanger tube is provided at set positions on this surface. CONSTITUTION:Taking it into consideration that reduction in the thickness of a heat exchanger tube 14 due to corrosion occurs in the lower area of the heat exchanger tube 14, a water drip plate 15 is fitted to this tube 14. Thereby the condensed dew water containing corrosive constituents in exhaust gas is prevented from dripping to the lower part of the heat exchanger tube 14. In the case when the heat exchanger tube 14 is provided with fins, it is necessary to fit a water drip plate 15 being larger than the diameter of the fin. By these plates, the speed of corrosion of the heat exchanger tube can be reduced considerably and the useful life of the heat exchanger tube constructing a heat exchanger can be prolonged to a large extent.
