GAS INSULATED SWITCHGEAR

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a switchgear by a method wherein a unit chamber which has a circuit breaker, a disconnector, a ground switch and a current transformer which are housed in an SF6 gas atmosphere is separated from a bus-bar chamber which has a disconnector and bus-bars by the disconnector having gas separation and bus-bar support functions. CONSTITUTION:A unit chamber 13 is provided behind an operation and control part 11 which is mounted on a stage 15. The unit chamber 13 is filled with SF6 gas and a ground switch 4, a three-position disconnector 2, a circuit breaker 1 and a current transformer which connect cable heads 6 to a three-position disconnector 3 are built in the unit chamber 13. The three-position disconnector 3 separates SF6 gas in the unit chamber 13 from SF6 gas in a bus-bar chamber 14 and, at the same time, supports bus-bars 5. With this constitution, the size of the bus-bar chamber can be reduced and the manufacturing cost can be saved.
