OFF-TALK SERVICE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To transfer sound and picture information by the digital signals of 64kb/s by exchanging the digital signals between a subscriber's private side and an intra-office side during the idle time of a subscriber line. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber's private off-talk means 5 is connected to the subscriber's private 20 side of the subscriber line in an existent exchange, and an intra-office off-talk means 6 is connected to the intra-office 22 side. Then, digital transmitters 7 and 8 are respectively connected to the both means 5 and 6 and the idle state of the subscriber line is detected by these off-talk means 5 and 6. The idle use terminal on the subscriber's private 20 side sends a channel number to the intra-office 22 side and an information receiving and extracting means 9 to be connected to the digital transmitter 8 on the intra- office 22 side extracts the correspondent information out of the plural kinds of information to be supplied from an information present center 13 and sends the information to the subscriber's private 20 side. In such a way, various information service including pictures and sounds can be presented by utilizing an analog line. Thus, the terminal of the off-talk service can selectively receive the information service of various media with pictures and sounds by the digital transmission of 64kb/s.
