REDUCING AGENT SOLUTION FOR PERMANENT WAVE

PURPOSE:To provide the subject agent solution not generating any malodor and injurious gas when prepared or used, not damaging hair and giving a refreshing feeling of use by selecting a reducing agent component contained in a reducing agent solution for permanent wave from ascorbic acid and derivatives thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a permanent wave reducing agent for cleaving cystine bonds in hair by the action of the reducing component, at least one selected from the group of ascorbic acid and derivatives thereof is employed as the reducing component. The ascorbic acid or the derivatives thereof are preferably employed in a concentration of 2-5wt.% based on the total amount of the permanent wave reducing agent solution. An alkaline agent, surfactant, stabilizer, etc., as well as the above-mentioned reducing agent are added to the reducing agent solution, which is used in the same manner as the conventional first solution.
