PRODUCTION OF PATTERNED PILE CLOTH

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject beautifully dyed cloth having clear dyed pattern in high efficiency by dyeing a pile yarn to a color corresponding to the objective pattern in the course of feeding a pile yarn to a file-forming part and forming a pile in such a manner as to protrude the dyed part from the surface of the cloth. CONSTITUTION:In the course of feeding a pile yarn P to a pile-forming part 4, the yarn is dyed to a color corresponding to the objective pattern in each of one to several pile-forming strokes in a range corresponding to the stroke length. A pile is formed in the file-forming part 4 in such a manner as to protrude the dyed part 7a from the surface of cloth. Concretely, for example, the position corresponding to the tip end P1 of a pile is set to be positioned at the center of the dyeing part 7a, i.e., the boundary part 6 of dyeing is positioned in the base cloth B after the pile-formation and a dye solution 7 is applied to the length corresponding to twice the pile length.
