DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To announce the outline of a display effectively and also enable its detailed contents to be confirmed immediately by arranging a large display part at an upper part and displaying outline information and partial information, and arranging a small display part at a lower part and displaying entirety information and detailed information regarding the display contents of the large display part. CONSTITUTION:A control part 6 receives display information from a host system, edits this information to generate the outline information for the large display part and the detailed information for the small display part, and supplies them to the display parts 1 and 2. The large display part 1 enlarges and displays the outline information and the small display part 2 displays the detailed information or entirety information regarding the display contents. Consequently, the large display part 1 displays the outline of the display contents to attract customer's attention and a customer who is interested in the display contents comes close to the display device to read the relative detailed information.
