IC CARD

PURPOSE:To easily set time counting data to a time counting means of a host device from an IC card by providing a means for transmitting the time counting data of the time counting means to the host device in accordance with a request from the host device. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 consisting of a microprocessor, etc., controls an input and an output of data to a user of a card and a communication to a host. The card is connected to the host device through a connector 4, and has a timepiece part 2 consisting of a timepiece IC, etc. In such a state, time of the timepiece part is set from a key input part, and also, set by inputting and outputting the time data between the card and the host device by a time data requesting means 5 and a time data receiving means 6 provided between the CPU 1 and the connector 4. Also, a communication circuit 41 is constituted of an interface circuit for converting to such a signal form as various data stored in a RAM 12 and the time data of the timepiece part 2 can be transmitted and received to and from the host through the connector 4. In such a way, the time counting data can be handled easily without necessitating a troublesome operation.
