PAPER CHANGE-OVER SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve an operation efficiency by a method wherein a printer device is automatically changed over when a paper selection change-over is required based on printing paper information for the printer device and paper information presently selected by the printer device. CONSTITUTION:A paper information receiving means 2 fetches paper information representing the type of printing paper from control information for a printer device 6 in printing information 1. A printer sensing means 3 fetches paper information representing the type of paper presently selected by the printer device 6. A paper change-over judging means 4 compares the aforesaid paper information. When the judging means 4 judges that a paper selection change-over is not required, a host machine transmits the printing information 1 intact to the printer device 6. When it judges that a change-over is required, a paper change-over means 5 is started to convert the paper information received by the paper information receiving means 2 to information for conducting a paper selection change-over in the printer device 6, and transmits the result to the printer device 6. In this manner, a paper selection change-over is conducted, and a host machine sends the printing information 1 to the printer device 6.
