POLISHING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To safely perform setting work in a polishing area by determining an area surrounded by the path based on the path data stored in a storing means as a polishing area and by moving a grinding stone controlling a driving means in the polishing area, and by providing a controlling means for performing polishing in the polishing area. CONSTITUTION:When a grinding stone 10 is moved, along the outer periphery of the area wherein polishing is performed, by a driving means 11 by inclining the operation lever of an operation means 18, the path data of the grinding stone 10 are stored in a storing means 26. In the next step, in polishing, a control meane 24 determines the area surrounded by the path as a polishing area E and also moves the grinding stone 10 by controlling a driving means 11 in the polishing area E to polish the polishing area E. In such manner, the polishing area E can be stored in the storing means 26 by such simple operation as operating an operation lever.
