Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To facilitate observing operation by utilizing hollow cathode lamp light which passes in a graphite furnace and dimming the lamp light to a quantity matching the observation when the inside of the graphite furnace is observed. CONSTITUTION:Light beams from hollow cathode lamps 1 - 4 which are ar ranged on respective optical axes are converged into a graphite cuvette 7 by spherical mirrors 5 and 6 and guided to a spectroscope 10 through a spherical mirror 8 and a plane mirror 9. Then the respective light beams which are guided to the spectroscope 10 are made incident from an incidence slit 10a which is common to the four optical axes to irradiate four diffraction gratings 10d through a plane mirror 10b and two collimator mirrors 10c. Then the light which is dispersed by the grating 10d is split into sample light and reference light by a Zeeman type background correcting method when passing a camera mirror 10e, a plane mirror 10f, and a projection slit 10g and then passing through a Wollastone prism 10h, and they are guided to a photodetection part 11 by a spherical mirror 10i and a plane mirror 10j. Then the sample light and reference light which are discriminated by a chopper 10k are detected by a photoelectron multiplier tube 10b and processed as electric signals.
