Zusammenfassung:	NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I. USE:An insect-attracting agent. Particularly useful as an attracting substance for an important injurious insect redish oraesia and analogues thereof against fruits such as peach, pear, grape and wase satsuma mandarin. PREPARATION:1-Undecanol of formula: CH3-(CH2)10-OH as a starting substance is reacted with hydrogen bromide, condensed and then reduced the obtain 2- tetradecen-1-ol. The compound is reacted with meta-chloroperbenzoic acid and iodinated the form 1-iodo-2,3-epoxytetradecane, which is subjected to a Grignard coupling reaction with 1-iodo-1-heptenylmagnesium of formula II to provide the compound of formula I. The mixing of the compound of formula I with (Z)-9,10-epoxy-(Z,Z)-3,6-heneicosadiene further highly improves the attracting effect for the redish araesia.
