TREATMENT OF SLIME

PURPOSE:To recover slime with a tank on the ground surface by a method in which mud water packed into a tank is jetted to the upside of a foot protected body by a pump to stir slime on the upside, and the slime is replaced by mud water and housed in the lower suction tube of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Valves 20 and 22 in a tank 15 hung down into a vertical pit 12 by a rope 23 from the ground surface and immersed in mud water to pack the tank 15 with mud water through a suction tube 19 and a supply tube 21. The tank 15 is hung down to above a foot protection body 13 set on the bottom of the pit, the valve 22 is closed, the valve 18 is opened, and a pump 17 is operated to send the mud water in the tank 15 from a drain pipe 16 to the upside of the body 13. Slime 14 on the body 13 is stirred up by the jet stream of mud water, where the inner pressure of the tank 15 is lowered by discharge of mud water. The mud water containing slime 14 is sucked into the tank 15 through the suction pipe 19 to recover it on the ground surface.
