MOLDING FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To integrate an insert with the main body of a molding via each resinous pillar by forming a large number of small holes along the entire surface of the insert scatteredly, and applying resin to each small aperture upon extrusion molding to form the resinous pillars. CONSTITUTION:A molding for automobiles, i.g. a molding to be attached to a belt or the like on the exterior surface of a door as for ornament of the door is constituted of an insert 1 made of metal or resin having small coefficient of linear expansion and resin made molding body 3 embedding it. In this instance, a large number of small circular apertures are scatteredly bored along the whole insert 1 in regular arrangement. At the time of extrusion molding of the molding with the insert, thereby, resin enters in each small aperture 2 of the insert 1 to form resinus pillars 5. The insert 1 is caught by each resinous pillars 5 to integrate upper and lower resin for securely joining the insert 1 with the molding body.
