SYSTEM FOR SAVING MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic disk from being erroneously recognized as a magnetic tape for saving by loading a magnetic tape to a magnetic tape unit, reading the tape label and automatically saving information from the objective magnetic disk of saving after confirming the saving information. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape loading recognizing means 2 recognizes the load of a magnetic tape 7 and a tape label analyzing means 3 reads the tape label of the loaded magnetic tape 7. Then, it is decided whether saving information 10 is set or not. In such a case, when the saving information 10 is confirmed at the tape label, a saving program activating means 4 loads the magnetic tape 7 to a magnetic tape unit 8, allocates the tape to a saving program 6 while maintaining a readable/writable state and further activates the saving program 6 with a magnetic disk device identification number 11 of the magnetic disk device 6 set to the saving information 10 as a parameter. Thus, the magnetic disk is prevented from being erroneously recognized as the magnetic tape for saving.
