Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which has good lubricating and working properties and improves the working environment by compounding a boric acid ester obtained by reacting boric acid (anhydride) with a specific compound with base oil having lubricating properties. CONSTITUTION:A boric acid ester which is obtained by reacting boric acid (anhydride) with one or more compounds selected from among a monohydric alcohol shown by R1OH (where R1 is 4-22C alkyl), a diol shown by formula I (where R2-5 each represent H or 1-15C alkyl; R6 is 0-20C alkyl), glycerol or a mono- or di-substituted product thereof and a polyhydric alcohol or an ester or ether thereof (e.g. n-butanol) is compounded with base oil having lubricating properties (e.g. motor oil).
