Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To automatically perform demagnetization only at a necessary time, to suppress power consumption and to reduce the generation of noise by providing an azimuth change detection means and a demagnetizing indication signal generating means. CONSTITUTION:The execution program of a CPU 1 is written in an ROM 2 and an RAM 3 is used when azimuth change quantity is calculated and a VRAM 4 is a display memory and a video output circuit 5 issues output to a CRT 6. A display control circuit 7 indicates the reading address of the VRAM 4. The CPU applies demagnetizing indication to a demagnetizing circuit 9 through an interface 8. A gyroscopic compass 13 or a tide measuring apparatus 11 detects an azimuth change and starts the demagnetizing circuit 9 when the azimuth change exceeds definite quantity. Since no demagnetization is carried out from the demagnetization of the previous time during a time when the azimuth of electronic equipment is small, there is no color shift and color irregularity during this period and wasteful power consumption or the generation of noise can be suppressed.
