SELECTIVE PREPARATION OF 1-BROM-3-CHLOR-1, 2-DIARYL-2-PROPANOL AND ERYTHRO-1-BROM-3- CHLOR-1, 2-DIARYL-2-PROPANOL

1-Bromo-3-chloro-1,2-diaryl-2-propanols of the general formula I (I) where n and m are each 1, 2 or 3, and R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, t-butyl or an aromatic radical which may be substituted, are prepared and converted into azolylmethyloxiranes.
