Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the deodorant composition which is not colored or discolored, easy to handle and capable of being tableted by incorporating the three components, namely calixarene and/or its derivative, a bivalent metal compd. and L-ascorbic acid compd. or an erysorbic acid compd., into the composition as the effective components. CONSTITUTION:The three components, namely calixarene and/or its derivative, a bivalent metal salt (e.g. cupric chloride and ferrous sulfate) and an L-ascorbic acid compd. or an erysorbic acid compd., are incorporated into the composition to obtain a composition excellent in a deodorizing effect. If a hydrophilic solvent such as alcohol is jointly used when the three components are added. the clathrate compd. of the calixarene and/or its derivative effectively adsorbs the bivalent metal salt. Meanwhile, the calixarene and/or its derivative are generally synthesized from a phenol derivative (preferably from t-butylphenol) and formalin.
