MONITORING DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

PURPOSE:To surely discriminate whether the cause is power failure or abnormal transmission when an abnormal condition of communication is generated, by providing such composition as to display abnormality of communication when is detected, and to make the it decision of abnormality of the series communication invalid and display the power failure detecting signal, when the power failure detecting signal is input through a communication route other than the series communication route. CONSTITUTION:The elevator condition data picked up from an elevator control device 2 to a group management board 16 is operated in a CPU 17A, and stored in a memory device 17B. The stored data is transferred to a main control device 19 in a monitoring room through a series communication. And a power failure signal is delivered to the main control device 19 as a contact signal through a communication route other than the series communication. In the main control device 19, the communication condition with a group management board 16 and the power failure signal are detected in each bank, and the condition is displayed in a display device 9. That is, when it is not a power failure, the communication condition in its bank is displayed, and when it is a power failure, the power failure is displayed.
