APPARATUS FOR SCRAPING SLAG

PURPOSE:To scrape slag under condition suitable to various cases by arranging a straight line track guide for guiding movement of a projection so that tip part of a scraping plate can horizontally shift and arranging mechanism for swinging a cylindrical slag scraping tool and a slag discharging mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An air cylinder for vertically lifting the scraping plate 3 is built in the cylindrical slag scraping tool 2 and a slag dropping plate 5 and a cooling air piping 7 are arranged at the tip part thereof and the fixed projection 8 is arranged at the side wall thereof. A hinge 6 enabling swinging and vertical movement of the cylindrical slag scraping tool 2 at upper part of a mold 1 and the straight line track guide 10 for guiding the movement of projection 8 so that the tip part of scraping plate 3 can horizontally shift adjacent to the cylindrical slag scraping tool 2, are arranged to a supporting structure 9. Then, the mechanism 11 for swinging the cylindrical slag scraping tool 2 and the slag discharging mechanism 16 are arranged. By this method, in the case the floated slag is difficult to float up and separate, the floated slag can be quickly scraped during this is not yet solidified at the time of being much quantity thereof.
