Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make a coated paper having excellent printing smoothness, water absorbability, luster, etc., and employed for high quality printing, by specifying the dynamic wetting value of raw paper and employing a coating solution containing not only a pigment but also a specific adhesive and an organopolysiloxane as an auxiliary agent. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous coating solution containing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a pigment, (B) 5-40 pts.wt. of a copolymer latex containing 0.1-1wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid as a monomer component as an adhesive and (C) 0.01-0.4 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane having a cloud point of 20-60 deg.C as an auxiliary agent is coated on raw paper having a dynamic wetting value of -0.3-0.2g and dried, followed by calendering the coated paper to provide coated paper. The component B includes a styrene-butadiene copolymer latex containing methacrylic acid as a monomer component.
