Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To easily form an interference color free from variance by a single treatment by vapor-depositing one or more metals (alloys) onto the prescribed parts on the surface of a corrosion resisting base material by the use of masking and then applying anodic oxidation treatment to the above. CONSTITUTION:Regions A, B on the surface of a corrosion resisting metal 1 as a base material are covered with a masking material 21, and a thin film 3 of Ti, etc., is formed by means of vapor deposition. The masking material 21 is peeled and the region B and a region C are covered with a masking material 22, and a thin film 4 of TiCN, etc., is formed by means of vapor deposition. Subsequently, the masking material 22 is peeled, and the regions A, C are covered with a masking material 23 and a thin film 5 of Zr, etc., is formed by means of vapor deposition. Then, anodic oxidation treatment is carried out in a phosphoric acid bath, etc. By this method, the multicolored surface having a combination of dissimilar colors in the regions A, B, C, respectively, can be obtained by subjecting the base material surface to a single anodic oxidation treatment as mentioned above.
