Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To have locational accuracy relative to a car body in the condition that a car hood is shut, by setting the hood to the car body in the shut position by the of a installing jig, and securing to the car body a fastening position of an exposed hinge bracket behind the rear edge of the hood. CONSTITUTION:An installing jib 19 tilts so that a car hood (d) assumes the shut attitude with the front down with rotation of a wrist 18 round the W-axis. At the same time, X- and Y-axis direction locational correction and theta and the round V-axis tilt correction for the installing jig 19 are performed while coordination is made to the Z-axis directed tilting of the X-axis direction, X-axis directed tilting of the Y-axis direction, and X- and Y-axis directed dislocation of the car body (a) sensed by a location sensor furnished on an installing station 2. Then the installing jig 19 is sunk to the required setting position in Z-axis direction which has been corrected while coordination is made to the Z-axis directed dislocation of the car body (a), and the hood (d) is set on the car body (a) in the shut attitude. That is, a fastening robot 29 fitted with a nut runner is hung, and a fastening hole d1a at the tail of a hinge bracket d1 is secured to the car body (a) using this robot 29.
