COOLING STRUCTURE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to install a cabinet whose back is brought into close contact with the wall and place an article on the top of the cabinet without degrading cooling performance by installing an absorption and exhaust port to the front and the bottom of the cabinet. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust port 4 is respectively installed to a part equivalent to the upper part of a shelf 2 on the uppermost stage of the front of a cabinet 1 and a part equivalent to a space between the shells 2 on each stage. In the same manner there are installed absorption ports 5a and 5b respectively to the lower part of the shelf on the lowest stage of the front of the cabinet 1 or the bottom of the cabinet 1. In addition, an air current cutoff 3 which introduces the air current flowing out from the upper part of the shelf 2 each stage to its mating air absorption port 4. Furthermore, a space between the back of the shelf 2 on each stage and the near of the cabinet 1 is arranged to form a duct 9 which introduces the air current absorbed from each air absorption port 5a and 5b to the lower side of the shelf of each upper stage. This construction makes it possible to place an article on the top of the cabinet 1 without degrading cooling performance and bring the back of the cabinet into close contact with the wall.
