SPECIAL PICTURE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To eliminate a color modulation circuit and a Y/C mix circuit by using a special picture equipment and a color modulation circuit for a character display device and the Y/C mix circuit in common. CONSTITUTION:In the case of character display, a menu changeover signal 41 at a terminal 37 is brought into an H level. A character signal device 30 adds a synchronizing signal and a character signal and the result is inputted through a switch 36 to a BPF 2 and an LPF 3. A gate circuit 40 brings a synthesis signal 19 outputted from a controller 18 to an L level and as soon as switches 21, 22, 23 are turned to the position of L, the output switching signal 20 goes to H to turn the switch 25 to the position of H. Since no color signal is included in a video signal outputted from the character generating circuit 30, no color difference signal is outputted from a color demodulation circuit 4 and an output of the color modulation circuit 24 is a non modulation color signal and mixed with a luminance signal at a Y/C mix circuit 26 and outputted through the switch 26. Thus, the color modulation circuit and the Y/C mix circuit are saved.
