SURFACE COMBUSTION BURNER

PURPOSE:To carry out mixing and dispersion well and provide an excellent surface combustion without a danger of backfire by conducting the dispersion and mixing in a plurality of stages at the burner section. CONSTITUTION:Air is jetted out from air jetting holes 2 of a multi-hole air pipe 1 to form an air layer 4 in an air chamber 3. At the upper position of the air layer 4 an air dispersion layer 5 is provided for dispersing the air that ascends from the air layer 4, and at the upper position of the air dispersion layer 5 a mixing layer 7 is provided in which the gas jetted out from a gas jetting hole 9 and the air ascending from the air dispersion layer 5 are mixed, and at the upper position of the mixing layer 7 a mixture gas dispersion layer 8 is provided which disperses the mixture gas ascending from the mixing layer 7, and surface combustion is made on the surface of the mixture gas dispersion layer 8. The air dispersion layer 5 and the mixture gas dispersion layer 8 use a member that is made of ceramic fibers or alumina fibers or other materials.
