LIQUID ABSORBING AND DIFFUSING SHEET

PURPOSE:To make improvement in the bodily liquid absorbing and diffusing performance of an absorber by determining the quantity of the fibers in one direction of the sheet integrated with a hydrophilic fiber web and hydrophobic fiber web to an F layer shape so as to occupy the specified ratio or above of the entire part of the fibers and providing the density of a prescribed range on the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The absorber is constituted by disposing a liquid impermeable sheet 4 on the under surface of an absorbing layer 3 consisting of cotton-like pulp and absorbent paper and coating and integrating the upper surface of this laminate with a liquid permeable material 1. The absorbing and diffusing sheet which is formed by integrating mainly the hydrophilic long fiber web and mainly the hydrophobic long fiber web in a laminar state and in which the quantity of the fibers in the longitudinal direction in the ratio of the quantity of the fibers in the longitudinal direction and the quantity of the fibers in the transverse direction of the sheet occupies >=60% over the entire part of the fibers and the sheet density is in a 0. 05 to 0.75g/cm range is made to exist between the liquid permeable material 1 of the upper layer and the absorbing layer 3. The remarkable improvement in the liquid absorbability and diffusivity of the liquid absorbing and diffusing sheet is then made and the moist feel and uncomfortable feel by back flowing are eliminated.
