SECTIONAL SHAPE OF WING OF RAM WING PLANE

PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive load due to the contact with water by forming the wing rear edge of a ram wind plane so as to have an S-figure-shaped chamber and forming a step difference on the undersurface of the wing rear edge and offsetting the pitching moment due to the ground effect. CONSTITUTION:As for the sectional shape of a main wing 1 of a ram wing plane, a chamber 4 as the center line between a wing upper surface 2 and a wing under surface 3 is formed into a gentle S figure shape towards the rear edge from the front edge. The rear edge part 6 is warped slightly upward, and step differences 5 are formed at two positions on the under surface of the rear edge part 6. Further, the wing under surface 3 divided by the step difference 5 is formed to a flat plane or a gentle curved plane close to the flat plane. Accordingly, the pitching moment due to the ground effect is offset by the downward force due to the S-shaped chamber 4, and water stream is exfoliated by the step difference 5, and the application of an excessive load on the wing rear edge due to the contact with water is prevented.
