PICTURE COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To expand a selection object of a sender source depending on a password by collating a code of a DTMF signal detected from a public communication line connecting to an unspecified terminal equipment with a password registered in advance and controlling the propriety of reception of picture information from the line based on the result of collation. CONSTITUTION:This communication equipment consists of a public telephone line (communication line) L, an external telephone set 1, a line changeover circuit 2, an NCU (line control unit) 3, a MODEM 4, a picture information processing section 5, a recording section 6, a read section 7, an operation section 8, a nonvolatile memory section 9 registering the password, a control section 10, and a DTMF detection section 11. Then the DTMF signal is detected from the public telephone line (communication line) L connecting to an unspecified terminal equipment and the detected code in the DTMF signal is collated with the password registered in advance and the propriety of the reception of picture information is controlled from the line based on the result of collation. Thus, the selection object of the sender source by the password is expanded.
