METHOD FOR DETECTING CLOGGING IN DISTRIBUTING PIPE FOR BLOWING FINE POWDERED COAL IN BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE:To instantaneously detect clogged distributing pipe by arranging thermometers at the necessary positions to the distributing pipes for blowing fine powdered coal and observing the temp. in each distributing pipe. CONSTITUTION:The thermometers 7 are arranged at the necessary positions to the distributing pipes 6 for blowing fine powdered coal between secondary distributors 5 and blast furnace tuyeres. There temps. are indicated on the recorder 9 in a central operating room 8 in the blast furnace, and when this temp. comes to below the set lower limit value, the alarm is made to sound. The lower limit value is preferably set to the temp. by 5 deg.C lower than about 40 deg.C the lowest temp. in the distributing pipe 6. By setting plural thermometers 7 in each distributing pipe 6, the clogging position of the distributing pipe 6 can be estimated.
