SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION

PURPOSE:To hypersensitize an emulsion contg. a prescribed amt. of prescribed flat platy silver halide particles by adding two kinds of specified compds. in combination to the emulsion. CONSTITUTION:A compd. represented by formula I and a compd. represented by formula III are added in combination to an emulsion contg. flat platy silver halide particles each having >=5 ratio of diameter to thickness by >=50% of the total projection area of all the silver halide particles. In the formula I, Dye is a residue of a dye having a chromophore represented by formula II, Hyd is a prescribed residue of hydrazine and L is a combining group.
