DEVICE FOR MOUNTING FRONT FENDER FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To enable correct positioning by pressing a front fender to be roughly set on an assembly dig by a pressing member while it is supported by a supporting member and holding the front fender by a suction member while it is positioned with reference to two seatings. CONSTITUTION:An assembly jig 21 to be mounted on a front fender assembling robot of a vehicle body assembly station is equipped with three supporting members 22 which roughly position and support a front fender (member) (b) on three predetermined positions, a first seating 23 for receiving the upper rim of the member (b) and a second seating 24 for receiving an upper part of the rear rim of the member (b). In addition, the jig is provided with three pressing members 25 for pressing an arch top part of the member (b), three clamp members 26 for clamping the upper rim of the member (b) on three front and rear positions, a plurality of suction members 28 for positioning the member (b) along an x-axis and sucking it, a pressing member 29 for pressing a tongue part b2 at the lower end of the rear part of the member (b) overlay it on a side seal and three nut runners 301 to 303.
